As of the end of September 2022, Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (“KLK”), a company with Malaysian incorporation, had a market capitalization of about RM22.318 billion and was listed on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad’s Main Market.

More than a century after Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (“KLK”) was founded as a plantation concern, the Group’s primary activity is still the growth of oil palm. KLK has over 300,000 hectares of planted land as of September 2022. Its land bank is dispersed over Liberia, Indonesia (Belitung Island, Sumatra, as well as Central and East Kalimantan), and Malaysia (Peninsular and Sabah).

An open company in Malaysia, SARAWAK OIL PALMS BERHAD (SOPB) is listed on Bursa Malaysia, formerly the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange.

Originally known as Sarawak Oil Palms Sendirian Berhad (SOPSB), the group officially changed its name to SOPB in 1990. In 1968, the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) and the Sarawak State government formed a joint venture to pioneer the commercial planting of oil palms in the state. The initial land area covered 4,600 hectares of oil palm plantation.

Genting Plantations Berhad, sometimes known as “Genting Plantations” or “the Company,” was established on September 29, 1977, under the form of a private limited company. It was established by the late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong in 1980 as the plantation division of the Genting Group. In 1982, it was listed on Bursa Malaysia, which was formerly the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. Since it first opened for business, Genting Plantations has grown from a small, primarily rubber-based company to become one of the top oil palm plantation businesses in the area. Genting Plantations’ landbank, which began in 1980 with just 13,700 hectares in West Malaysia, has grown enormously to encompass over 243,400 hectares now, distributed throughout both Malaysia and Indonesia. KIM LOONG RESOURCES BERHAD

The Sharikat Beginning operations with a 1,000-acre rubber plantation in Ulu Tiram, Johor, Kim Loong Sendirian Berhad (“SKL”), the holding company of Kim Loong Resources Berhad, began operations. Bhd., which is today a subsidiary of Kim Loong Resources Berhad. The company started operating in 1982. Under Kim Loong Palm Oil Mills Sdn. Bhd., this palm oil mill was moved to Kota Tinggi, Johor, and it started operating there in 1996.

The Sharikat In Ulu Tiram, Johor, Kim Loong Sendirian Berhad started building a palm oil mill under the name Kim Loong Palm Oil Sdn. Bhd., which is now a subsidiary of Kim Loong Resources Berhad. The Sharikat By purchasing 1,000 acres of property in Sandakan, Sabah, Kim Loong Sendirian Berhad increased its presence in the state. The area was initially cultivated with cocoa, then with oil palm. incorporation of Sungkit Enterprise Sdn. Bhd., a company that is presently a Kim Loong Resources Berhad subsidiary, to carry out operations related to kernel crushing.

With a total gross land area of roughly 2,862 acres, the Company entered into Sale and Purchase Agreements on February 19, 2020, and subsequently assigned this purchase to its subsidiary, Suhenson Estate Sdn. Bhd. In February 2021, the Group took possession of 2,708 acres (1,096 hectares) of oil palm plantation land in Sabah. The Keningau Mill biogas plant started providing the grid with up to 2 MW of electricity per hour in December 2022.
